Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering IREB CPRE
Systems that are highly dependent on software play an increasingly important role in industrial and governmental projects. Similarly, there is increasing market demand for innovative, customized, and comprehensive systems that reach the market faster. All successful projects demand effective requirements engineering (RE), because successful systems development depends upon requirements that are accurately and completely defined.
Currently there are three levels available for certification:

The Foundation Level is the most common and is available in English. Foundation level comprises basic knowledge of eliciting, analyzing, specifying, documenting, validating and managing requirements.
A person with a CPRE Foundation Level certificate:
- Is familiar with the terminology of requirements engineering/business analysis and requirements management.
- Understands the basic techniques and methods of requirements engineering and their application.
- Is familiar with the most established notations for requirements.
Requirements Engineering contributes significantly to the success of a project by defining the scope of the project and creating a common basis for communication with all stakeholders. This is achieved by Requirements Engineering, which defines the requirements for a system to be developed, analyzed, prioritized, and structured. The management of requirements and ensuring their proper implementation in system design are also components of successful Requirements Engineering.
